Role: Global Commercial Lead- Events and Sponsorship
cKinetics is hiring a Commercial Lead, Events and Sponsorship (Global) to help build and scale a growing global convenings platform alongside its cCarbon.info market intelligence business. This is a business development, partnerships, and community building role for someone who wants to grow something meaningful at the intersection of climate, markets, policy, finance, and the energy transition.
Through its convenings, cKinetics creates data and modelling driven conversations around the economics, policies, and markets shaping the climate transition. These forums are designed to cut through the noise, bring senior stakeholders together, and support practical, evidence led dialogue on where climate and carbon markets are headed.
Over the last few years, cKinetics has built a strong convenings platform across Canada, the UK, the USA, and India, bringing together senior stakeholders, investors, corporates, policymakers, project developers, and market participants across carbon markets, clean fuels, carbon removals, climate finance, and broader climate transition markets. Flagship convenings such as the Canada Clean Fuels & Climate Markets Summit (CFCM), the Carbon Removal Investment Summit (CRIS) and the India State Climate Investment Forum (ISCIF) have grown significantly, creating trusted spaces for serious dialogue, high value market connections, and forward looking perspectives on the markets supporting the climate transition.
The opportunity now is to take this proven model and scale it into a larger, repeatable, commercially successful global platform. The goal is not only to drive revenue, but also to build a high quality community around some of the most important climate markets.
This is a front facing commercial role. It carries responsibility for commercial partnerships, sponsorships, delegate revenue, strategic relationships, and community engagement across multiple geographies, and for converting high quality convenings into a scalable revenue engine.
Position deliverables
About you
- You have a commercial track record. You have carried and met a revenue target in sponsorship sales, partnerships, membership, or B2B sales, and can explain how the underlying pipeline was built.
- You have opened doors with senior decision makers across enterprise, institutional, investor, or professional services environments.
- You have grown a community, member base, delegate base, or partner network, and can describe the position before and after your involvement.
You must have
- Commercial track record: 5 to 8+ years in business development, sponsorship sales, partnerships, or commercial growth, with a proven record of quota attainment (100%+) and having built and converted a $1M+ qualified pipeline from a standing start.
- High value selling: experience selling event, media, research, membership, advisory, or market intelligence products rather than physical goods.
- Sector fluency: a working interest in carbon markets, clean fuels, carbon removals, or climate finance, with the ability to hold a substantive conversation with an investor or policymaker about where these markets are headed within your first month.
- Stakeholder range: a record of engagement at all levels of a counterparty organization, from analyst to C-suite, and the judgement to handle public sector and institutional relationships.
- Community building: experience growing communities around sectors, markets, or professional networks, and developing sponsors, partners, and delegate audiences across geographies.
- Operating style: commercially sharp, entrepreneurial, and relationship driven, able to work independently across time zones with strong organizational discipline and a high standard of written communication.
What we offer
- Ownership of the commercial and community engine behind a global convenings platform in climate and carbon markets.
- An established brand, a 30,000+ professional audience, and existing market relationships and distribution channels to build on from day one.
- The scope to shape a global community around the economics, policies, and markets supporting the climate transition.
- A defined path into senior commercial or platform leadership as the function scales.
Location

Role: Business Development Manager- North America, Low Carbon Fuels
cKinetics’ division cCarbon (www.cCarbon.info) is the intelligence layer for environmental markets, and we’re hiring a commercial lead to grow adoption of our research, data, and advisory services across the low carbon fuels sector, one of the fastest-moving and most policy-driven corners of the energy transition.
This is a consultative business development role where the offering is credible, reliable market data and insight. Success depends on building trust with sophisticated, technical, regulation-driven buyers. We’re looking for someone genuinely fluent in clean fuels and environmental markets who has also carried and converted a commercial pipeline.
You will grow our client base, build lasting commercial partnerships, and deepen our presence across North American Clean Fuel Standard markets (California LCFS, Oregon CFP, Washington CFS, US RFS, 45Z, Canada CFR, and British Columbia LCFS) while engaging global markets in renewable diesel, SAF, RNG, hydrogen, and other emerging low carbon fuels.
Position deliverables
Client engagement and business development
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities across obligated parties, producers, traders, and investors.
- Use a consultative approach to solve client goals: understand their commercial needs and show how cCarbon’s services create measurable value.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on market insights and regulatory trends, nurturing long-term relationships from analyst to C-suite.
- Lead client interactions end to end, including demos, consultations, and negotiations, to convert opportunities into revenue.
- Represent cCarbon at priority industry events, webinars, and conferences to expand the client base and strengthen brand recognition.
Market tracking
- Stay current on low carbon fuel markets, including regulatory credit markets (LCFS, CFR, RFS, and others) and voluntary schemes.
- Track evolving clean fuels regulation, pricing dynamics, credit generation pathways, and emerging technologies, translating patterns into actionable client insight.
- Contribute to cCarbon’s insights reports, thought leadership, and strategic market analyses.
Solutions and delivery
- Partner with internal research teams to shape tailored proposals aligned to specific client needs.
- Assess client needs proactively and help shape new product features or research topics in response to market demand.
- Create and deliver high-impact presentations that surface trends, pricing, and market patterns, and support delivery of bespoke consulting projects.
About you
- You need to have domain credibility (must be real on day one). This means you can hold a substantive conversation with an analyst, a trader, and a C-suite buyer about how clean fuel credit markets work — pricing dynamics, regulatory direction, and market outlook.
- You have a commercial track record (must be proven, not aspirational). You have built and owned a pipeline from scratch, carried a quota, and consistently converted — with the discipline to forecast it and a strategy to grow it.
You must have
- Domain fluency: hands-on experience in carbon, low carbon fuels, or environmental markets, with working knowledge of clean fuel credit markets (LCFS, CFR, RFS, and others) sufficient to be credible with technical buyers in weeks, not months.
- Commercial track record: 5–8 years of B2B / enterprise sales or commercial business development, with a proven record of quota attainment (100%+) and having built and converted a $1M+ qualified pipeline from scratch.
- Stakeholder range: a track record of driving engagement at all levels of a client organization, from analyst to C-suite.
- Operating style: able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Good to have
- A Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Existing relationships across the North American clean fuels ecosystem — obligated parties, producers, traders, and investors.
- Prior experience selling research, data, or advisory / subscription services (as opposed to physical products).
What we offer
- A high-impact commercial role at the center of the globally growing clean fuels and environmental attributes market.
- Ownership of client relationships with a clear path to grow into senior commercial leadership.
- Established market relationships, brand, and distribution channels to build on from day one.
- Competitive base salary (set by experience and geography) with performance-based incentives tied to commercial results, and a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
Location
Cupertino, California, USA; or Toronto, Canada. Location flexibility for the right candidate.

Role: Manager, Community and Partnerships
cKinetics is hiring a Manager, Community and Partnerships to grow the community around its convenings and to build the data partnerships behind its market intelligence business.
Our convenings bring investors, corporates, policymakers, project developers, and market participants together around carbon markets, clean fuels, carbon removals, and climate finance. The Canada Clean Fuels & Climate Markets Summit (CFCM), the Carbon Removal Investment Summit (CRIS), and the India State Climate Investment Forum (ISCIF) are the flagships. More than 30,000 professionals sit around them.
Right now that is an audience, not a network. Changing this is the first half of the job: segment it, give people a reason to show up between summits, and make it worth belonging to. The second half is data. cCarbon research is stronger when it draws on exchanges, registries, and other providers, and someone needs to go and build those relationships properly, then keep them.
The role is global. You will work across Canada, the USA, the UK, and India, with the research, marketing, and events teams, and directly with senior people outside the firm.
Position deliverables
Community growth and engagement
- Own the growth, segmentation, and health of the cKinetics and cCarbon community of 30,000+ professionals, and define what a qualified member of that community actually looks like.
- Run a year round engagement calendar of roundtables, briefings, peer groups, and closed door sessions so that the community is active between convening cycles rather than only around them.
- Build and report the engagement metrics that leadership sees monthly, and act on the segments that are going quiet.
- Work with marketing on acquisition, onboarding, and retention, and design the member experience that makes belonging worth the time.
Data and content partnerships
- Develop and manage partnerships with exchanges, registries, market operators, data providers, research institutions, and platforms that strengthen the cCarbon research product.
- Negotiate data sharing, licensing, content exchange, and co-publication arrangements alongside the research and legal teams, with measurable value on both sides.
- Own the partner relationship after signature, covering renewal, scope expansion, and issue resolution, and keep partners engaged between cycles.
- Maintain a view of the data landscape across Canada, the USA, the UK, and India, and advise leadership on which gaps are worth closing and in what order.
Convening and institutional relationships
- Source, confirm, brief, and look after speakers for summits, roundtables, and webinars, and own the speaker experience end to end.
- Develop agendas with the research team so that sessions are analytically credible and worth a senior person’s day.
- Build institutional relationships with regulators, agencies, and public bodies as convening partners, speakers, and data counterparts, maintaining the platform’s neutral, evidence led positioning. cKinetics informs the market and does not lobby it.
- Hand qualified relationships to the Commercial Lead when they are ready to become sponsorship or delegate conversations, and to cCarbon when they are ready to become research or advisory conversations.
About you
Community building and engagement
- You have grown a professional community, member base, or audience, and can describe the position before and after your involvement in numbers rather than adjectives.
- You understand the difference between a distribution list and a community, and you have built the programming, content, and rituals that turn the first into the second.
Partnership development
- You build relationships that extend beyond a single transaction, with partners you have maintained over a period of years.
- You have negotiated arrangements where value ran both ways, covering data, content, audience, or research exchange rather than payment alone.
You must have
- Track record: 5 to 8+ years in community, partnerships, membership, programming, research operations, or a related relationship driven role, at least part of it in a small or building team.
- Community growth: Evidence of growing a professional community or member base, with the figures to support it and a clear account of what you did to move them.
- Partnership range: Experience negotiating and holding partnerships where the exchange involved data, content, audience, or research rather than payment alone.
- Operating style: Organized, self directed, and comfortable working across time zones, with the written communication standard that a senior audience expects.
Good to have
- Existing relationships across the carbon, clean fuels, and environmental markets ecosystem in North America, Europe, or Asia.
- Experience launching a paid membership or association tier, or running a community against a retention target.
- Experience engaging government or regulatory bodies in a non-advocacy capacity.
- CRM discipline (Zoho, HubSpot, or Salesforce) and comfort working alongside marketing automation and community platforms.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Location
Cupertino, California, USA; Toronto, Canada; or New Delhi, India. Location flexibility for the right candidate.
