Role: Sr Associate – Management Consulting (ESG and Sustainable Finance Practice)

Sr Associates will manage projects end-to-end related to Sustainability Finance, Climate Finance, and helping build the business case for Sustainability.

The consulting engagements will be focused at shaping solutions for some of today’s most pressing global issues: climate change and sustainability. The ideal candidate should be inquisitive, be keen on problem solving, and has been involved in some way with business sustainability. She/he is looking to build a career in management consulting.

Position deliverables

  • Connecting several dots to create insight and aim to generate new intellectual property (that is the hallmark of most of our assignments)

Role: Associate/ Sr Associate: Sustainability Strategy Consulting and Business Advisory

Associates are required to lead / support consulting projects in the different verticals that cKinetics is operating in.

Role
Selected person(s) will join cKinetics’ Sustainability advisory practice. The role envisages the following activities:

  • End-to-end delivery responsibility for engagements identified
  • Undertake relevant field work for various projects and provide on ground operational support to cKinetics’ partners and clients, while coordinating with other team members in India & in the US.
  • Building on relationships with potential and existing clients and be responsible for the business development in the assigned areas

Role: Associate (Data Science)- Carbon Markets and Climate Finance Analytics
cKinetics is looking for a Data Science Associate who is passionate about Sustainability and Carbon Markets and looking for meaningful as well as cutting-edge work.

The candidate would be part of the California Carbon division of cKinetics, which provides business intelligence and analytics in carbon and clean fuels markets.

The person would be involved in tracking and analyzing some of the rapidly evolving carbon markets in North America. These include Western Climate Initiative (California+ Quebec), Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standards (LCFS), Oregon Clean Fuels Program (CFP), Renewable Fuel Standards (RFS), Canada Clean Fuels Standards, British Columbia LCFS, and so on.

Role:

The role envisages the following activities:

  • Researching and analyzing economic issues pertaining to carbon markets. Analyze a variety of data streams using mathematical models and statistical techniques

  • Engage with proponents in US and Canada to keep track of fast-evolving market developments with regulators, industry bodies, clients, etc.

Role: Associate/ Sr Associate- Carbon Risk in Financial Portfolios

cKinetics is looking for problem-solvers who are passionate about Sustainability and Carbon Markets and looking for meaningful as well as cutting-edge work.

The candidate would be part of the California Carbon division of cKinetics, which provides business intelligence and analytics in carbon and clean fuels markets.

The person would be involved in tracking how carbon markets are impacting corporates that hold fossil-fuel linked assets. This will involve studying sectors such as utilities, cement, oil and gas, transportation, amongst others. S/he would coordinate with the other teams to quantify the impact of different carbon prices on these companies; and correspondingly their market value.

Position deliverables:

The role envisages the following activities:

  • Writing equity-research briefs for investors
  • Tracking assets held by corporates that are influenced by carbon prices
  • Understanding how carbon prices impact corporates: developing financial models with projections linked to different scenarios
  • Tracking corporate actions related to climate change
  • Supporting and actively participating in product development

About you:

Role: Corporate Marketing and Communications Specialist

The Corporate Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing the communications plan for cKinetics (www.cKinetics.com) and its division Sustainability Outlook (www.SustainabilityOutlook.in). This would entail developing, implementing, tracking and optimizing our communication across all digital channels.

The role also involves managing engagement with our audience, and fostering community spirit. This role will coordinate with our different teams that generate Sustainability related insights and ensuring they reach our audience.

Position responsibilities

This is a hands on role where you would be responsible for the following:

  • Build our market presence by forging a greater and timely visibility of our work (a) online and (b) in mainstream events and media
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop ways of showcasing insights they have developed
  • Measure and report performance of all engagement campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative marketing strategies

About you

cKinetics provides internship opportunities very selectively to students in Masters Degree Programs only.

Internships are for 6 months and 1 year. Kindly do not apply for periods shorter than 6 months.

Internship projects are decided every 6 months and cKinetics visits selected campuses where the projects are made public.

You should be in one of the following streams of education:

Fellowships for International Professionals Interested in Sustainability in Emerging Markets

For international professionals interested in Sustainability in Emerging Markets, cKinetics has instituted the following fellowships:

  • cKinetics Sustainability Fellowship Program (SFP): a program for post-masters professionals looking to build exposure to a practitioners lens towards Sustainability in India
  • cKinetics Young International Professionals Program (YIPP): a program for pre-Masters professionals looking to build experience in Sustainability in
    India

The fellowships have terms of 6 months, 1 year and 2 years.

The fellows would work on sustainability related areas such as Sustainable Products, Resource Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Cleantech and Policy.

This is an opportunity to get an intense on-the-ground experience in India (or neighboring emerging markets); and see approaches to balance rapid growth along with sustainable consumption of natural resources.

Logistics
1. Fellows will receive a stipend (it will be comparable to what we pay to candidates in India).
